Capital Resource Partners V has closed on a $10.0 million investment in Platform Learning, Inc, a provider of tutoring services to low income students attending public schools that have been identified as “in need of improvement” or “at-risk.” These tutoring services are funded under the No Child Left Behind (“NCLB”) Act. Headquartered in New York, NY, Platform Learning provides tutoring programs after-school and on weekends to students in cities across the United States. Every year, more than 5 million students qualify under NCLB Title I funding for Platform’s service and the Company has been able to capitalize on this growing market and is now the largest private provider of these targeted tutoring services. CRP’s investment was used to support the company’s continued growth into new markets.
